Hate to bring the bad news, but no matter where you live, it's absolutely impossible to get free memvership EVER. Just pay for it... its cheap as anything

There's a way that you can technically get it for free (or cheap depending on what offers are available in your country) but it takes time and a couple of friends. I'm not sure what offers are available in singapore but if you sign up to one of the freebie networks on the site below, complete one of the offers then get 2 of your friends to sign up through your referral link and complete an offer you can get xbox live free or cheap. Theres also a link below to a forum that could help you with questions and also if you show your friends the "i got my free item" section it might help.
