Going to live in Singapore for a month and a half. Whats it like

Going to live in Singapore for a month and a half. Whats it like?
I am 15 an I will be moving to Singapore for about a month and a half. June 23 - End of July. I want to know what it's like to live in Singapore and if a teen will like it. Is it like a city, like NY except cleaner. What might a teen enjoy or dislike in Singapore? Can you describe different parts of Singapore for me? Thanks!

hi... i'm a Singaporean myself... it's quite like NY i think, except smaller in scale (duh!) and clean yes. seeing u're only 15, it would be hard to say coz most teens of this age range are into psp and stuff like that, normal stuff tat teens do - watch movies, eat.... i think e eating part will be more interesting coz we have a HUGE variety of international and multi-racial food here. definitely MUST try! e older teens (18 and above) might enjoy clubbing. e night scene in singapore is ok, i guess. singapore is hot and humid (but with a fair share of rain) so most ppl on weekends will hit e beach or e pools (mostly outdoors here). anyways, for more info just type singapore in ur search engine. all e best =)

You would like Singapore, I enjoyed myself when I was 15 in singapore. Theres a lot of things to do and its easy to get around the country, thanks the great public transportation. But I guess it depends where you're moving from.....you might not like weather that much though if you're not used to warm weather.

im 15 and im a singaporean. singapore is sort of like NY except without that many skyscrapers, most buildings are high-rise but not that tall. you cant go clubbing in singapore until youre about 18 or 19. me n my friends mostly hang out at shopping malls. there is a shopping mall at every interchange so yeah, they are pretty accessible. you might have a hard time understanding what we say at first because we speak singlish which is sort of like the singapore variation of english. dont worry though, most singaporeans will make an effort to talk to you in proper english but the people who run the food stalls at hawker centers dont know how so it might be a little though. it more or less depends where you are, if you are in town then most people will speak to you in proper english, neighbourhood areas...not so much. its pretty hot here so if you sunburn easily, please bring suntan lotion. my friend's american neighbor actually suntanned himself on his front yard and after half an hour he was red all over! so please remember, singapore is closer to the equator so the sun, much hotter here =)
