Does bleach make them whiter or yellower? I have washed with Vinegar and baking soda, but I live in Singapore and they do not sell Borax here (or at I can't find it). These are really nice quality pillowslips - why would they get yellowed? My other whites don't appear to have this problem.

Is oxiclean sold in Singapore? If so, soak them in 1/2 cup dissovled in warm water 1 hour to overnight. That will get the yellow out. If not maybe you can order some online.

MelaPower is the answer. It is the best laundry cleaner I have ever found and it is available in China. It cleans clothing very well and I have never had it yellow anything and it has even whitened other yellow items.

I always heard if you use Clorox to often on your whites that they will start to turn yellow. I wold stick to laundry detergent and a cup of baking soda.
