Should be okay if you spend your money prudently and live like a Singaporean. For an average of S$400.00 a month you can get a comfortable room in a HDB flat with a Chinese family. However, if you want to behave and live like the "Ang Moh Indian" (half breed) I know who thinks all Chinese are suckers then you will have problem in getting accommodation here. I hope you don`t smoke as that wil take away about S$300.00 of your income.

yes you can..... no you can't .... it all depends on how u want to spend... families of 5 can live with dad's income of less than 1000, u alone with 2300 why not? but if u drink, pub, smoke, eat out... then tough. cheers!
