minimum you need S$2000 to survive with you family .Singapore is a quite expensive country .

$2000 is NOT even enough for 1 person (bills, food, transport) The utilities bills from the government boards will already kill you. Water bills, electricity bills, conservancy charges, miscellaneous charges, TV bills etc. Then there's your mobile bills, land line bills, flat bills. Singapore is all about bills. 2 people - $4000.

If you are a Singaporean then about $2000.00 is quite adequate for a family of two because your housing is paid through your CPF so your only worry is food, transport and clothing thats all but for a foreigner $2000.00 is not really enough because the housing takes a big chunk of it renting a room will cost about $600.00 a whole house will cost you about $1400.00 per month The average expenditure for a day is roughly about $20.00 per person which includes breakfast/lunch/dinner/transport I will leave you to calculate the average for yourself. cheers
