given your age, are you still studying? are you thinking of being self-sufficient or are your parents sponsoring your living in singapore? if you have stopped studying and plan on working in singapore, then an affordable way is to rent a room and not the entire apartment. if you can, share the room with another friend. or if you are studying, then consider staying in a student hostel.

The standard of living in Singapore is high. It depends alot if your are working or studying. If you're studying, student hostel is the way. If you're working, rent a room in a apartment. Check websites like www.mocca.com if you want to rent a room.

It's possible if you able to find a job. Just rent a room at HDB. The cheapest room you can find probably at Yishun, Woodlands or Jurong West.
