I taking it as live comfortably, I would disagree, because living costs are rising, everything needs money. $2500 may be just enough only.

I think 2.5k is not bad, but not too good, just above average. You don't need car. the public transport is very very good, afforadable, and efficient. Foods are cheap too. The biggest expenses for you might be just the accomodation.

S$2500 is a good amount for a single... But it still boils down to if you are after 'branded' stuffs...

i say it is average....definitely cannot afford to own a car..if not, a big chunk of money will go to car expenses..........

If you are a single, and does not maintain a car.

With the inflation in Singapore, I'm beginning to doubt it. You should ask people here to give you housing costs, etc. But shopping has become an expensive matter in Singapore, indeed. I now avoid it.

$2500/mth is enough for unmarried pax but definitely insufficient if you are the bread winner for the family. If you are a foreigner. Of course you got to settle your accommodation first. So you got to pay for rent . If you will to rent a room for your self it will cost around $500/mth ( it depends on where you stay) but if you are sharing with another people of course you will be paying only half. let say you shared room with another mate , you will pay $ 250 Transportation is accessible. Cab ride is more expensive, mrt can bring you many places. Buses are commonly available. Let say you had to pay $5 /day on mrt rides , one month will cost you $150 Food are available from S$2 onwards. Unless you are high-class diner. Let say 3 meals cost avg $15 at the food court , + some days you would like to have good meals . one month will cost you $500 I will cost you $900 on the basic expenses. $2500-$900 = $650. You have $650 left monthly

Let see, rental of one room will cost you $400, Transportation $200, Food $500, Handphone bills and internet bills $100. You have $1300 for the rest, per month. Not too bad.
