Singapore is one of the ' NICE ' place to stay ,however must work very hard to enjoys better life. IF you Husband is PR,soon you will become PR, IF you are not PR as this moment, you will hold 3/6 month social visa pass ,even 1 year, in this case, you are NOT ALLOW to work. if you grandad for 05 years long terms social visit visa pass,( can apply ) you allow to work almost all kind of jobs ,specials work pass will be issue from MOM. ( not Doctor/Law firm ) Since you hasband is PR,why not try with us sometimes,3/4 years ? if not you can always give-out, any-way, WELCOME TO YOUR !!!!

Singapore is a good place to work and stay, but not for retirement. The living standard is too high especially for elderly, and the Government are not going to look after you during your old age.

I am a Singapore P.R and I find that as much as I like the cleanliness, the stable government system and people in Singapore, the standard of living here is kind of sky-high. Good place to work but not to rest for old age. In time to come, I may settle in Malaysia (my hometown) instead as the medical and living expenses there are much more affordable and living pace is more relaxing.Good for those who want to retire in peace, affordably.
