If you are rich - Singapore. If you are not so rich - KL Life is more stressful and expensive in Singapore, but a safer place.

Singapore everything is expensive but a good city with very clean , dicipline and good condition and good public transportation. KL - is more crowded and trafic jumpt and not too clean like singapore but more cheaper for house rent, appartement and food than Singapore

No doubt in my mind - KL. Singapore is very restrictive (where can you go on such a small island?) in more ways than one. If available cash has any bearing on the issue, cost of living in KL is half that of Singapore.

I have friends who work in KL and told me this interesting fact: The pay in sinapore is roughly the same as in KL - before conversion (so in terms of value singapore pay is about twice tat in KL). Eg, a person earns $3000 in s'pore, and will earn RM3000 in KL for a similar job. however, costs of items in KL are more than tat in s'pore - before conversion. eg, a bowl of noodles in s'pore costs $3, in KL it is RM5. so in terms if purchasing power, it is greater in s'pore. of course there are other aspects tat define quality of life. it depends on what u prefer in life. however i wld say tat if u're Malay, u certainly have more priviledges given to u in M'sia.

Sg expensive, but eveything very organised, but u get bored after a while, nothing to do but shop at expensive mall, watch movies. Live in KL, bored can go Genting, buy "branded" stuffs in chinatown too lol.

Both cities are good to live in and each has its own advantages and good/bad. But taking into account of the size of the country I think K.L is a better place to be as Malaysia is so much bigger and has many places of interest.

Singapore. I feel that the government is good, the place is clean and safe and well-maintained. That's the advantage of being a small country-it's easier to maintain cleanliness and safety. Also, even though it is a small country, it is internationally recognized. Also,the education system is quite advanced and always changing for the better, although studying can get stressful sometimes. Plus the place is multi-racial, with minimal racial/religious discrimination. Generally, the people are treated quite fairly. There are many places of interest that you can visit and even though the city is modernizing constantly, there are still a few traditional towns that are being preserved. The economy is also not bad. However, as mentioned above, the cost of living is definitely higher than in KL.

well, it depends on what u are looking for? Cant really compare singapore and KL as singapore itself is a country where by KL is a part of malaysia country.. How to compare? kL traffic is very crowded..sg also but more in control. Price.. i tink in terms of shopping.. pricing is almost de same as well.. actually not much in difference. living environment..again, it depends u wanna stay in which part of KL or singapore.. where u are from? too much stress on ur side? No need to ask which is better to stay.. take a few days off.. take a short break and stay at KL or Singapore for a short holiday. Experience it yourself . You will have the best answer yourself.

I'm Malaysian on job assignment in Singapore. I stayed at Orchard Road. The first week is fine lots of new thing to see. But come the 2nd week I got bored. S'pore is too small you can travel from east to west of the island in less than 1/2 hour. The best thing I liked about Spore is less traffic jam and cleanliness. Bad thing about Spore is that some Singaporean are really arrogant. And on 7th Feb during the CNY I was on my way to Sentosa but had to turn back as the place was crowded with the Bangla and Indian imigrant, the MRT ride was also horrible lots of this imigrants... Anyway being a Malaysian I prefer KL. I strongly believe KL will be much better than S'pore if the government control the cars entering the city like S'pore is doing.

I am a Singaporean, but Love KL!!! Singapore is small, boring, and yea. . . it is safe, so? Just be careful when you are out. KL is fun, cheap, lot of good food like Singapore, but at half the price. By the way, unlike most singaporean, I can speak Malay, Chinese, besides English. Thus, I am move around KL or any part of Malasyia easily. In KL, if you only speaks English, be prepared to pay tourist price in some places. For me, give me KL any time
