rent alone would cost from 1500 and up. you might survive if you rent out or rent a room. food and transportation is quite cheap. a bus ride is like a dollar and a meal would cost $5 and up depending on your choices.

Yes it's enough if you are the frugal sort.

definitely is more than enough if, and assume you are a foreigner and single and no family committment 1. you don't drive 2. you don't contribute to cpf, even if you become PR later, it will be a contribution of 5% for the 1st 2 years 3. rental per month 3 room flat somewhere $1500 divide by 2 rooms. If you want more rooms then the range will be somewhere at $2500 divide by how many tenants. (depends how you want to share, this is not really a big issue) 4. water bills i put it $200 say divide by 4 persons 5. food and transport, $500 +/- just for yourself so, on average, you will roughly have a balance of $500 put aside for savings, no extravangance spending lah

It depends on your lifestyle , I would say . Thrifting or going all out

I think a lot depends on what type of housing you opt for. Private or public. Renting one room in public housing is about $600-$800 per room. And that is if you're living together with the landlord or another tenant in the same apartment (of 2-3 rooms). If you can find a roommate, then it's half the price. If you go for private housing, then 1800 a month is definitely not enough.

you could only rent a room, not the entire apartment. Take bus and MRT and dun go clubbing, den it is enough. or you could live with me, jk.
